copper frog

A frog telephones a psychic hotline and is told, "You are going to meet a beautiful young girl who will want to know everything about you."

Back in the middle of June, I was taking pictures of the sky, and a friend walked up to me, pointed to this lawn ornament and said, "Take a picture of that." So I did. The sun was already going down; it was tricky to get the copper color right.

.

Is it bad that I think it's hideous? The decoration has nothing to do with anything. Somebody saw a patch of turf and decided that a copper amphibian, standing upright, holding a bucket of tiny flowers would be just the thing for this spot. Now if we had a copper theme, or a frog theme...

.

Anyhoo, this is where I was aiming the camera when this episode started:

Um... that's copper, right? Not bronze? 'Cause if it's bronze, that changes EVERYTHING!

    Knowing that frog intimately as I do, I'm quite fond of it - now if I could just remember to get over there and pull the weeds out, things would be good!

    what can i say i like the frog. he;s whimsical. but you already know i am deranged.

    the sky is gorgeous whether bronze or copper.

    It was my intention to use that shot for Sky Watch Dot, but I never got around to it.

    I only notice the frog, Halfmom. The exception being when the weed is that nasty broadleaf variety with a yellow flower...

    Being Puerto Rican, I should probably have a little more tolerance for frogs. The coqui is a beloved little pest --I mean frog from P.R.

    You say "whimsical" Lime; I say "what-in-tarnation!" I'm glad you liked that sky. I've waited way too long to post that photo.

    that ain't copper or bronze! it's beautiful my dear!
    the frog I'd love to have it instead of the one my grandson keeps putting in my face! Grandmom isn't he nice he's my pet his name is tree, do you think he needs a bath etc!
