Sky Watch Friday!

Golden Dreams

For some odd reason, I woke up too early on Tuesday. Maybe it was the annoyingly loud but unintentional chainsaw impersonation I do while snoring. Before I could let myself drift back to sleep, I noticed an eerie amber glow as it oozed through the miniblinds of my bedroom. What an unnatural color! Half-asleep, but providentially wearing jammies, I walked downstairs, grabbed my camera, stepped out front, and fired off a couple of photographs before returning upstairs for that oh-so precious last 22 minutes of sleep.

.

That photograph is completely unfiltered and unedited in any way. The sky is exactly the way I saw it through my droopy eyelids, except that my eyeballs were not really focusing on anything except the enigmatic haze.

.

Speaking of Tuesday... no, the dog does not smell like skunk anymore, and no, we still do not have a new refrigerator.

.

Bonus shot. Black storm clouds from 7:30 AM on Monday morning.

  3. Yes that is a nice dreamy scene, scotch does that to me too!

No really, you are becoming quite a picture taker, the trouble with me now is that every view I see becomes a photo and I just love snapping away!

I like the storm one, too, but the golden glow is unusually beautiful.

  11. I don't think you could come up with that coloring if you tried...I love it when the light is like that. It is hard to capture sometimes. I also liked the other photo...

  29. Craver,
You make me realize I need to be more strategic with my camera. Recently I saw a big, beautiful Blue Jay right outside our window, and had plenty of time to get a shot, but I didn't want to miss a thing, and didn't have the camera handy.

    I tagged you.
