These were taken on different days, and at different times of day, hence a wide variation in color. But more than that... When my wife and I spot a sky event while driving, we like to put our sunglasses on and compare views. It seems we can catch more details and/or colors with our shades. So, in the bottom photo, I put my sunglasses over her camera lens to see how the picture would turn out.
.
i will have to give that sunglass idea a try.
ReplyDeleteThose are great shots. I like the middle one the best just because of the cloud formation.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea too with shooting pictures through your sun glasses. I will have to steady my hands and try that.
Your billowing clouds are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMy Sky Watch Friday blog is at my Canon Pixels blog. If you have time I would appreciate your having a look at the sky peeking through the oak tree leaves.
I've often used sunglass lens to shot a different perspective, yours are awesome!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots.
ReplyDeleteShot #2, for some reason, is pure eye candy to me. So dreamy.
Amazing photographs. I have never used sunglass lens to shot a different perspective, but I will give it a try:-)
ReplyDeleteAwsome pictures - happy SWF!
ReplyDeleteI like your spirit! I would never hav thought of taking a photo through my sunglasses. Cool idea. Happy Sky Watch!

ReplyDeleteYou and your wife make a great team. These are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful! I LOVE that middle one...
ReplyDeleteThree fantastic sky photos. I love the middle one best because of the bottoms of the clouds, and just the way they relate to the ground makes the area look enormous.
ReplyDeleteI love cloud-watching. My posts this week were cloud ones too! Very nice pictures.
ReplyDeletelovely clouds,Kuya!!
ReplyDeleteI am constantly amazed at how the sky changes, just like these lovely images.
ReplyDeletenice clouds in the sky
ReplyDeleteI've notced that too... that I can see more dramatic detail in clouds through my sunglasses, but haven't tried taking a pic through them, although the thought has occurred to me.
ReplyDeleteI've tried shooting pics through my binoculars though, worked out quite well, considering....
Sometimes I don't know if you are serious or just kidding. (Yes, maybe I'm a little slow!) I have to take my glasses off to take a picture so the sunglasses wouldn't work for me.
ReplyDeleteHowever you did it these are all nice pictures!
Some great cloud shots!! Beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots!
ReplyDeleteI think all three are great shots, but the middle one really sings to me.

What a clever idea, Carver. I'll have to try it. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. I have also noticed how more deeply defined the clouds are when wearing my sunglasses. Great idea to use them to capture a photograph.

ReplyDeleteCarver, after reading what you and you wife do with sunglasses, of course I had to try it. I did a post on it for Saturday entitled "Artful Saturday" giving you credit for the idea. Thanks so much for sharing. That was so cool & so much fun. I am gonna try different sunglasses too.
