white wedding

Some of you will know my friend Susan. Her daughter just got married. What a beautiful couple these two make! They're great folks, and I imagine Susan must be quite happy. Not only for these youngens, but also that the nuptial busy-ness is over.

.

The groom is not originally from Bolingbrook, but I would like to see them stick around, because I really like this guy. He is a godly man and has a good head on his shoulders.

.

I was careful to avoid getting in the photographer's way, and still came away with a few shots I liked. After they lit the unity candle, they paused to pray together. I zoomed in and held my breath... click. Later, as all the people filed out of the church, I went for something different. I held my camera above the crowd, aimed and shot. The good doctor (Susan) looks amazing, don't you think? It's certain that the professional will have better photos, but I like these, because they are of my own dear friends, and the pictures were taken by my own hand.

Oh Craver, thank you so very much. I was busy with greeting and such and don't know that I got any decent photos. The one after the unity candle is particularly wonderful! Would you please email them to me so I can post them as well.

You and Mrs. Craver are well-loved. We were really glad to have you with us to celebrate their marriage.

It was a beautiful wedding!!! I'm so glad we were there to see it! "Thank you for having us, Susan!"

Do you know what I like about this young couple? They are so plugged into the church and they both set godly examples. "You rock, my young friends!"

Surely the woman in the lower picture is not nearly old enough to be the bride's mother? One of the bridesmaids maybe ? (Do you have bridesmaids in America?).

I'm so glad you like them Halfmom. That was the major highlight of the whole weekend!

Why thanks, nAncY!

Imac , my blunders with lighting, timing, and shakey hands was a comedy of errors that would probably make a fun post, but I'll skip that. I'm satisfied with what I was able to take away from it all, though.

That is kind of you, Sandman. Actually, they are an encouragement to me.

Yes, Ted. Special is a good word for it. This meant more to me than just a regular wedding. Something really, really good happened Saturday.

Mrs. Craver... :-)

Well said, Maalie; she was so pretty. And yes, we do have bridesmaids here.

that top one is lovely and it is special when you capture a good one.

when my best pal got married i was a bridesmaid. she was very unhappy with the job her photographer did but i was so pleased to know that one of the shots i caught of her and her new husband turned out to be her favorite of the day.

Hah- that's Craver catching Susan greeting (read that talking) to someone in the receiving line!

Imac, the first trip was so fun, I went back for seconds.

Yes, they're young Mommanator, but I wish more young couples were like this one.

'Renzo, I was a little out of place with all those pretty people, but I didn't mind.

Lime, I like that I did not have to mess with the background. When they stepped aside from the unity candle, there was a plain wall behind them, and a banister down low.

Hmmm... Lime as a bridesmaid... tie-dyed gowns??

Good to hear, Craver. Good to hear!
