Header Challenge: it's in the computer

October 2, 2013

This week's challenge is it's in the computer, selected by Katney. Check out my  pals for their interpretations on this theme: Fishing Guy, Katney, Imac, Lew, and Christine Anne.

Well folks, this week's theme has a bittersweet flavor.  I have been encouraging local friends and family to make sure they take pictures of their pets, so that when they are gone, people will have some photos to remember their furry friends.  The cat in my header lived for fifteen years, and had a very laid back personality, which I like.  He died two weeks ago, and all I have to remember him by is digital files... in the computer.  No more, soft, warm purring.  I liked that he would sit with me and I'd talk to him in a normal adult tone, as if he could understand every word.  He gave silent approval to my critique of foolish things that happened on the news.  Plus, he never challenged me when I gave an opinion about something.  I have lots of opinions.  I'll miss him.

Here also, I include some of the storage that I use to transport information from one computer to another.  The tiny camera is only a key fob.  It has an led flash and a sound that mimics the shutter release.  The two flash drives sit on top of my new one terabyte external hard drive.  Now I do not have to worry so much about which computer the file is in, because I can plug these into any laptop or desktop and then... it's in the computer.

Craver: What a neat way to show what is in the computer.

The computer has become the digital scrapbook for our memories. Sorry your furry friend is gone,. That is a great photo of him.

Love it, Craver. Danny has been bugging me to get an external hard drive, but I just can't seem to spend the $$$. But, I also know I really need one for the thousands of images already stored IN my computer!!

While I can't say I'm fond of cats, I am truly sorry you lost a good one. At least you have the digital memories--which you can turn into prints, y'know. ;)

Our furry friends are family....and I am so sorry that you and your family lost your sweet kitty. We had a black cat, and I loved her so much. She was a good Mama to her kittens and a good friend to all of us. Again, my condolences on the loss of your pet.
Love your storage devices.
And YOU GO GUY...with that terabyte hard drive. Storage, storage, storage...we can never have enough (ask any woman who carries a purse!)
Smiles,
J.

Sincere condolences about the care of your dear friend! Had the same, but he left a little early. Great picture on the good memories!
