This shot taken while standing in the middle of the street, using a tripod and a long exposure. It was cold that night. Very cold. I wonder what the neighbors thought when they saw this fool standing out there, looking at a tree. I'm sure they could hear my teeth chattering from inside their houses..
I was happy with the shot. I was also happy with the mug of hot cocoa I drank as soon as we returned home.

Excellent photo bro.
They probably thought you are a "tree-hugger", or soemthing like that.
[I changed the wording on my last post at my blog. Thanks for stopping by Craver.]
the comment about the neighbors mad me laugh.
fantastic photo, great colour and light!
So, what does purple say to gold when it wants to compliment it? ;-)
Love the picture.
Good "i" Lady Barkat! That should have been "complementary."
To answer your question... nothing. The rule is "silence is golden." We deduce therefore, that gold prefers silence, and purple, being a noble color, would not violet the rules.
The puns are killing me, Cravester.
I'm wondering how Abuelita's procedure went on Thursday.
oh i do like those colors an awful lot!
Those are some very groany puns! Love the light on the tree, it looks like you coloured it via photoshop!
great shot, I'm sure the neighbors said, O thats just craver at it again. he's harmless
You all are not getting the pun awards glad you ahve day jobs Teehee
I'm glad you like the color and light, Nancy. That is mostly an accident, of course. The photo was taken at night in low lighting, and the camera's "twilight" setting really saturates the picture with color.
There was something that I played around with Shammy. I took out the light from a window, and another distant light, to make the background more simple.
Truth be told, I was horrified when I learned that I misspelled the title. I decided that it would be best to leave the wart, and poke fun at it. And now that the puns rolled out like they did, I'm glad for the error that launched it all.
