sunflower Sunday

.

These sunflowers were photographed while visiting my sister. Her neighbor's yard was FILLED with thousands of flowers; I have never seen a home that even comes close to this lady's ratio of flowers-per-square foot! It was pretty, and quite impressive, and although she let me in her yard to take pictures, Sunday afternoon's gusty winds interfered with most of the macros I attempted, especially with the smaller flowers. I spent the majority of the time, eye to the eyepiece, holding my breath, wishing the wind would give me a break.

I know how that feels but what gorgeous sunflowers. You took some great shots there. That lady's garden must be a beautiful sight with all those flowers. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and leaving me the information on the homeopathic doctor. Appreciated all the information.

Is that where we get the sunflower seeds that are so popular to baseball players?

BTW Craver, how is your healing process going. My sister just had her gallbladder taken out. She's quite sore, but home. Thought you may have some encouraging words I can share.

Have a terrfic weekend in the joy of the Lord Jesus, our God and Friend.

I'm glad you identify, Imac and nAncY. Some of the other guests probably thought I was doing free-hand time lapse video!!

Oh, and Nancy, I see that you're using a sunflower for your profile pic... sweet!

I was hoping you'd like them Denise. Especially since you use a sunflower in your current header. (This flower gets around, doesn't it.) I was happy to google that information for you, as well as for my own curiosity. Thanks for "taking us with you" through excellent images and story.

Yes Sandman. I'd like to see how they harvest them.

If your sister had the procedure done laparoscopically, the healing will come relatively quickly. I used over-the-counter Ibuprofen for one week, and was back at work less than a week after the procedure. Fortunately, I have a cushy desk-job that precludes heavy lifting. If you are able, pamper her for a few days; she'll love it.

Thanks Fishing Guy. They were so tall and the complimentary colors screamed for me to fetch my camera, which I initally decided to leave in the car.

Lime, I wish the wind was more cooperative. You should have seen all the stuff this lady had in her backyard!

Hmmm... you've got me wondering Mommanator. When I'm gone, what will trigger the memories of Grandpa Craver? I hope it's something good (like sunflowers).
