where credit is due

There's a funny story about this photo. We were on a ten-minute drive to visit our blogging buddy, Brother Greg. This view begged for a picture, so I pulled over and stood out in the middle of the street to get the shot. There isn't much traffic here, but every once in a while, my kids would shout out the warning: "Car!" It felt like a total role reversal.

.

Thanks, Kids for keeping me safe.

.

A photography tip: David says no matter what he's photographing, he always makes it a point to look around, to make sure he hasn't missed out on anything else [here's his post]. I have not made this a habit, but I should. On this particular day, I DID happen to look for a different shot, and caught this image only four minutes after the first. Maybe you already saw it a few days ago on the post called "A Sunset for Coco."

.

Thanks Dave, for the good pics I will capture on account of your wisdom and experience.

.

And thank you Lord, for the rising and setting of the sun. Amen

That's a beautiful photo and I am glad your kids are keeping you safe :) Good tip about looking in other directions. I am going to have to remember that one.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I enjoyed your daydream. I don’t know if you noticed but in one of those photos, maybe in a previous post I can’t remember now, but there was someone leaning on their balcony rail. I thought of your comment when I found him again, and by jove there you were, with a pipe full of cherry tobacco, and I am sure I heard jazz ;) Apparently I have a great imagination also.

Have a great weekend.

Thanks for letting me even know about POTD. :) I was SO confused when you left your initial comment, then after a frantic search, I finally found what you were speaking of. :) Congrats on being listed, too! How exciting. :)

I enjoy seeing beautiful sunsets Fishing Guy. In fact, sunrises and sunsets are part of the fringe benefits of fishing, right?

Thanks Imac. And thanks for the email help, too.

Oh yes, they are very good kids EG. They could have said, "Dad, get ready to jump to the right... NOW! (splat) But they didn't... for which I'm grateful.

Denise, when Dave said that, I realized that I have not been doing that (except for this time). I may write it on a little piece of tape and put it on the back of my camera or something.

If I don't get over this hankering for cherry pipe tobacco, I might just see if a cherry cola will hold me over. Your photo really put me in the mood!

New England Girl... SURPRISE!!! :-D
& Thanks for visiting.

Both beautiful. Sunrise and sunset--never go in until it's DONE! (I almost went in last night, but didn't. It changed so much, always intensifying, that I couldn't believe I thought about going in.) Love your kids yelling at you to get out of the street!

'Nuff said, Shammy. Thanks for visiting. Best regards, my friend.

Once upon a time Carletta, I considered it simplistic to thank God for the sunrise and a new day; I know better now.

Dear Bath Products Information; you have a very "commercial" sounding name.

And I always enjoy you, Lime. All of you guys. Friends, I appreciate you. The way we participate with each other here as a caring community, the way we trust one another enough to bare our thoughts and feelings. My prayer for all of us today is that we would have at least that with the folks God has placed near to us, that we could learn to love our neighbor for the glory of the One who made us. Shalom.
