frosty bud

Frosty bud?

.

No thanks; I'm driving. Anyway, who ever said Budweiser can call themselves the king of beers? When it comes to the cheap stuff, I can tolerate Miller Lite, but I'd rather drink gutter sludge than a Bud... frosty or otherwise.

.

Some of my friends don't drink at all. While the Bible doesn't actually forbid that we taste the fruit of the vine, it gives plenty of examples of the folly of over-indulging. I enjoy a glass or two, but any more, and I consider that taking unnecessary risks. Besides; I'm often foolish enough without so much as a whiff of the stuff.

Craver: I must admit I don't drink at all but that is my decision and I don't hold others to it. I have enough trouble with eating.

Wow - I guess you really don't like Budweiser - not that I blame you.

I do have a beer or two but like you, I generally refrain after a couple of drinks. I wouldn't drink if it made any fellow Christian uncomfortable in any way.

Yuck Bud! Although I rarely drink anything alcoholic anymore I remember buying the cheapest stuff in IL like Grain Belt and Red, White & Blue.

Well I have to agree with you Craver. There are better things than Bud such as litchi huice. :)

Neat picture! O how I hate beer, lol, I just can't stand the taste/smell of it. My boyfriend on the other hand will drink any type of beer ;D He's always trying different kinds.
WINE is fantastic though, heehee!

I used to work for Anheuser Busch, and was the swing route man.

I remember one time when I loaded a truck in the morning and just finished putting a skid of 100 cases of Bud 12 oz. cans on a drivers truck, and forgot to pull his door down.

As he reached the top of the hill and made the first left turn, 50 or so cases of beer flew out and there were cans of beer all over the Parkway, with people driving through them, and was it ever a mess.

The Lord saved back then, in 1984-85. I worked there another couple of years, and was able to share my conversion with all my friends, but had to fianlly leave.

Fishing Guy, I used to work for a ministry, where we signed a paper saying that we would totally abstain from any alcoholic beverages, the only possible exception being communion. While I don't have an issue with drinking, I still liked the practice. It felt wholesome. I think it is decent for you do make that decision.

ESI!!! Long time--no see, my friend! There is a passage about causing a weaker brother to stumble. I used to go to a church, where people didn't drink, because it would offend the deacons and old-timers. That was probably a mis-application of Romans 14:21 and 1 Corinthians 8:13. Still, I can't look back and say it was a great loss that I didn't drink. Rather, I believe I am stronger for having practiced abstinence.

Gaelyn, my wife doesn't like beer at all, so we don't keep it in the frig. Instead, I will have some at a friend's house. (This is the Brother Greg who visits here.) We don't usually have the cheap stuff, but a favorite is Sam Adams Winter Lager. And for me, I usually like to drink it from a glass.

I shouldn't be surprised that they juice litchi, but I'd rather eat the fruit Joan. There is something about experiencing the texture.

As I mentioned in an earlier comment Leeloo, my wife doesn't drink at all. She dislikes it so much, that we have a little routine. Before having a beer, I go to her for my last kiss of the day. I like wine, too. I prefer a drier wine over the sweet stuff, but I am no connoisseur.

Sandman, I had to laugh when I read about the spilled beer, because I envisioned a television commercial where a crowd of men would stand there crying at the sight of spilled beer. I liked their Clydesdales and other marketing ideas, but the product itself never agreed with my palate. It's awesome that you were active in telling the story of your conversion. Sometimes the news is not eagerly received.

They didn't really listen to me too much to be honest. I was thought of as being religious; too religious.
They would say things like: "I know I'm not very high on the man upstairs list, but I don't need anyone telling about God" And, "That's good for you Donald."
Stuff like that.

And that's basically the way it still is. I'm a overboard religious relative, friend, and neighbor.

I pray God would save my family, friends and neighbors, and use me to bring them into the kingdom, but it hasn't happened yet. Maybe one day.

I did. I liked Fosters. Imac, I had the choice between Fosters ale and lager. Which do you prefer?

People get uncomfortable talking about Jesus, Sandman. Jim Gaffigan has a funny stand up routine about this. Click here, and check out the first thirty seconds or so. But I see it like this... if a friend of mine is going to end up suffering eternal condemnation, it would be horribly unjust of me to withhold the words of life. There was a born again nutjob I knew in high school. I wish I could find him today and tell him that I finally get it.

Ah nAncY, the sky was a dismal gray, but that doesn't matter when I'm taking a macro with the little, pop-up flash, does it? I didn't have to adjust colors, but since it was kinda bleached by the close flash, I boosted the shadows just a smidge.
