cool rains

Cooler weather is setting in (finally), plus it has been raining. I like the rain. I like the pitter-patter off the roof at work. That sound comforts me, but I don't know why. I like the swishing sound of cars driving on the rainy streets. I like the optical accents that come from the wet pavement and the extra lights.

.

This second photo makes the oncoming Jeep look like a surfer locked in the hollow. That's when the surfer can ride inside, completely covered up by the wave, without having it break on him... like riding in a tunnel. Do you see it? The crest of the wave is formed by the trees on the left side of the image.

.

Thank you Lord for the cool rains, for golden sunsets, and for every visitor that passes through here.

When I first looked at these pictures, I thought the first was the best, but after reading your explanation about the surfer hollow, I can see what you're describing. Both pictures are neat.

Wow. Nice imagery. And good pics. Yes, I do like rain, and we have plenty of it right now. Though in these parts we often long for the sun.

That surfing car was a fun little accident, George. Amusing, isn't it?

High praise from an artist such as yourself, Imac. Thanks!

So nice of you to visit, Ted. It is a good thing that we have variety in our weather, but I am looking forward to a dry day tomorrow, because I have lots to do outside.

It's good sleeping weather, Lime. I hope you can get some good rest after your busy time away.

Beautifully done....and "yes"....I see the 'surfing' going on in the second photo. :)))

I like the sound of rain on the roof too, makes me feel all comfy cosy and glad that I'm in the dry. We've had lots of rain this week, and high winds too. Winter is on it's way!

The senses are being filled with lots of neat sights, sounds and smells going on these days, Jackie. We had a good fire going in the firepit this weekend, and that's just one more fun thing do do in cooler weather. But it's a special thing to find any "surfing" images where there is no surf.

Thanks for playing along, Imac. I knew I could count on you for a great response! (big grin)

Each season has its own set of challenges, but I like the winter, Shammy. Hot apple cider tastes best when it's cold outside. Autumn ushers in some excellent sleeping weather!

Hi Craver....I want a firepit....and the weather is getting perfect for one here. Regarding the pouty photo (thank you for you very kind comments!! :)) )...I took another photo.that I didn't publish....Shewass REALLY getting herself upset....and I took a photo of that "li'l mood" .....but decided (even though I thought it showed another marvelous side of Shelby) I didn't publish it. I understand how your wife feels....:))))
I love photos that capture feelings....and I appreciate your kind comments about mine.
Regarding Vicky...she is one of the kindest bloggers I've met. I pray that God will continue to be near and dear to her.
Thank you, Craver. You are a good friend. Give your Grands hugs from me!!
