from the ground

from the ground

February 12, 2014

This week's challenge is from the ground, selected by Kathy.  Check out my pals for their interpretations on this theme: Fishing Guy, Katney, Imac, Lew, and Christine Anne.

The tall wooden Maji come across as very exaggerated when viewed at that angle, don't you think?

A belly shot of fallen leaves.  I got wet, but that's ok... I really wanted that shot.

Looking u pat an American Robin on a low branch.

Crouched low, with the tripod on its lowest position, I caught this skateboarder's movement.

I probably should have done something about coffee (from the grounds).  We're studying the Epistle to the Hebrews in Sunday School and people keep making coffee jokes (He brews).

Craver: Isn't it a bit cold to lay on the ground? Fun photos.

You really get the little kids view of the world with this theme! Great capture of the skate border! Did he land on his board and keep rolling?

You definitely got into the spirit.

I can hear my hubby now on a hike, "No, she's fine. She's a photographer."

Very good shots; I especially love the movement of the skateboarder.
I have "been there/done that" as I crouch or lay on the ground to get certain shots. It's good to know that people 'understand' that that's just what a camera-in-the-hand does to one.
Lovely shots, Craver.

Lol on the He-brews, Craver. :)

I love how when you change your perspective (shooting up), you can change the whole feel of the image. Photography is pretty amazing that way, like having a third eye that sees in a unique and beautiful way. Love how you demonstrated that in all your images.

Fishing Guy, I do not remember getting wet. Now that I think about it, I may have squatted low without looking through the viewfinder for that ground shot of the leaves.

Lew, most of the time, he did not, but he and his pals have assembled videos where they landed their tricks.
