honorable mention

Selections from Proverbs 31.

.

10 An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels. 11 The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain.

.

17 She dresses herself with strength and makes her arms strong.

.

20 She opens her hand to the poor and reaches out her hands to the needy.

.

25 Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come.

.

29 “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.” 30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.

Is this your sweet Sluggo? She's beautiful. (Or are you about to get yourself in trouble, showcasing somebody else with these words? ;-)

I need to find out how to do the Jedi mind trick to make people forget that nickname I gave her. She didn't think it was so funny when it was broadcast all over the world to my half-a-dozen readers.

But yes, that's my wife. And these verses were on my mind last night, as I considered her ministry to our family, but especially the poor and needy.

The family picture (of her and her siblings) was taken early in our marriage.

"The heart of her husband trusts in her,"

We husbands would be nothing, would we, without a wife who fears the Lord, and who we can trust.
The Lord is our Rock, but our wives keep us from stepping out on the sand.

May the Lord keep on blessing you , your lovely wife, and your children. Amen.

Yes, she is a lovely person - inside and out - and I'm very priviledged to have her as a friend!

Craver-
The jedi mind trick is very simple all you have to do is stand there and look confident if I spelled that word correct it's very late. When standing there just wave your hand by the person's face and say zip zap zoop you shall forget what you found out.

Randy

Last week, I studed the account of the (Samaritan) woman at the well. Though she started out with a shady past, she eventually became a believer who reflected the light of Christ. After researching into their culture, I sat there stunned, marveling at godly womanhood, not just back then, but today as well.
