moving picture
.
...Unless of course, you just pulled up to a stop light and your spouse points and says, "Ooh, you should take a picture of that!".
(Cue Indiana Jones theme music and begin slow motion.) I opened her (pwr) window with the left hand and unbuckled the camera bag with the right, simultaneously slinging it up onto my lap. I grabbed both zippers in the middle and pulled them back to the corners. As quickly as I lifted the lid from the camera bag, one fluid move reached in the bag, grabbing the camera firmly, pressing the power button with my thumb, and picked it up to aim it while the other hand removed the lens cap..
(Stop music & slow motion) Let's go already, you digicam-a-saurus! This camera boots up so slow! Come on, come on, hurry before the light changes... YESSS! It's ready!!.
(Resume music) Presets all good, aim, click, off, zip-zip, clip... the camera is stowed away again. The light turns green, and I'm completely done and ready to drive. My Mrs. and I glance at each other. Yup... we're gooood! (Music continues as we drive away--into the sunset.).
Big family reunion this weekend... I'll check back in when I get a chance..

Have a wonderful family reunion - and stay safe.
Wow, Craver VII; you are quick! And what a wonderful photo you got for your speed. Your wife has a good eye, and the Good Lord let the traffic stop long enough to get that shot.
What an understanding wife you have. Good choice!
Craver: I see things from the car that must be catured way to often. I confess, drive and snap, I've done it.
Perfect timing!!!

Have a nice weekend, from AnneKa in Norway
Excellent shot - well worth the Indiana Jones moment.
And if you look anything like Indiana Jones, or have a life like his, I'll be your leading lady ok? ;0)
(No offence Mrs. Craver)
Phew that's amazing quickness of hand. Great capture! New to SWF but I've been checking out what you all do for a while and it's very impressive.
Oh i like this one.
I love the narrative on the post, and as for the image, it would have been crimnal not to snap it, on that we should all agree.

You ARE good. A beautiful sky pictures and no accidents to boot!
I am beginning to think you have special connections; you always capture heaven perfectly.
LOL, Craver VII... thanks for your visit and crazy comment on my SWF post today. You don't know how hard I had to beg that guy to take off his shirt for the photo... not! LOL He worked all day without a shirt, but he did wear shorts!
What a fantastic shot, and I do the same thing, camera always ready like that. It's great when you have 6 way traffic lights. *sigh*

Love the photo. I guess with the new "Batman" movie coming out, I immediately thought it looked like a bat! Your story was funny.
Great capture. Have fun at your family reunion.
CraverVII...Thanks for visiting my humble blog today...
Please don't listen to me about any book or movie reviews. We each have a different level of intolerance.
I paid money at the show to see that movie..What a Jip!!
You watch it and come tell me what you think OK?...G
Craver
All I can say is wow! The best shots are the ones where you're compelled to pull over and shoot...especially when your wife tells you to.
