Did you know that when talking on the radio, you're not supposed to say, "over and out?" Over means I said my part, and it is your turn to respond. Out means, I'm done and don't need additional information from you. It is over OR out, but never over AND out. Well anyway, when handed a radio at a recent event, we were also proveded with a page of etiquette for the 2-way, just to make sure we were all seeing eye-to-eye..
Now, for something completely different. Saturday, my wife and I celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary. We had a pleasant day. Brother Greg took the kids for the evening, and we went out on a date. We love to spend time with our kids, but this was a special time for us to pay special attention to each other. This one (22nd) is special for me since I'm 44. That means that before now, I had been single longer than I had been married. After this, I will have been married longer than I have not been married. We didn't do pics. Sorry; she's kinda camera-shy. But I wish you could have seen her; she was beautiful!

Craver: Congrats, from now on you will be known as the old married man. LOL

That's wonderful. You're a good man Craver. Keep on.
your haiku was wonderful!

out.
Awww, thank you, hon!
It was a wonderful night!
Happy Anniversary!
- YOUR mrs!
Fishing Guy, I would be mighty proud to be called "old married man." Your profile earned you a ton of respect when I saw how long you've been married, and that you mention that before anything else.
It's Mrs. Craver-- she's the good one, Sandman. I knew I had a good thing when she said yes, but I didn't realize the blessings would run as deep as they do. I'm grateful to the Lord for such a fine wife.
Thanks a lot nAncY
your blog is a friendly place,
and comments here, too.

Aah, Mrs. Craver! I hope you liked the flowers. Though I confess that I was surprised that you'd eat them... and without any salad dressing!! (Just kidding, folks!) You're awesome; you know that?
(gasp!) Mrs. Craver, you called me "hon!" I told you not to use my real name!!
;-)
Congrats Craver and Mrs Craver.
Glad you enjoyed your eve out and its over to you. lol.
One eyed Ants eh, come and see my ((Simple Shot Photograph.))
Ha! Married longer than single, eh? You should be used to being married soon. ;-)
Over and out!
(backing out slowly, turning, then running like blazes!)
She is beautiful! She is a good woman! We through snowballs at cars and ate junk food!
Congratulations my friend!! How wonderful to hear this. I hope you had a fantastic date. You should do it often not just on special occasions. Us women like to be treated special by our men. :)
I see how you wove "over" and "out" in there, Imac. You're bananas, but I'll check out that simple shot anyway. ;-)
Somebody stop her!! That was cute, EG.
"Anonymous," eh? I think I know who that is. I'll forgive the misspelled words (through s/b threw), but I have a rule about anonymous comments here. Since anyone can be anonymous, that makes it tricky to have a proper conversation. Please leave your name as part of the comment, or even a pseudonym-- anything we can call you that will specifically refer to you. If this is who I think it is, shall I call you Rogue? (Let me know if I'm wrong.)
That can be a challenge Joan, especially when we're so wrapped up in our children, serving at the food pantry (we're the directors, but she does most of the work), and other things. But you're right. I need to keep her as a priority and make it happen somehow. She deserves at least that.
WOW you cant have been married that long, you look like a boy to me! teehee CONGRATS big time- you are an oddity in the world today!
o those radios- is big brother really watching or are you a bit paranoid!
I bet she was beautiful - is beautiful :) Congratulations Craver, may your next 22 years be even happier, because as each year goes by it seems to get that way. Loved the info on the 'over and out'. I never knew that!

Hey Craver I just watched this on my son-in-law's facebook. It seems pretty cool. I thought of you, because you're such a camera kind of guy, and that it might be enjoyable for you.
Thanks, Mommanator. I hope to influence my children and friends, that they might have lasting marriages. I won't go on and on about the things I do that test her patience, but I'll tell you this: she is a good woman and abounding in grace.
Paranoid? Me??? Nooooo... (nervously looking around)
"...as each year goes by it seems to get (happier)." That's so true, Denise. Though it's hard work to smooth out the bumps sometimes, a lasting marriage has the potential for intimacy that runs deeper than we ever knew before. I'm not criticizing young love, just sharing an observation about this discovery.
That was an interesting production, Sandman. It was like walking through an art gallery, soaking up the sights, appreciating all the lines and forms.
that picture does make me giggle after reading your up periscope description.
and happy anniversary, i'm so glad you guys got some lovely special time together. here's to many more happy years together.
Congrats, Craver on your 22nd anniversary! See you and Mrs. Craver at pantry tonight!
