It looks similar to the markings found on some Irish pound coins (designs changed throughout the years, but some had that similar look). Wes had given me one years ago when someone used it as a penny to pay for something...he had to switch it out for a real penny, but I don't know what happened to it. :(

No I wasn't saying it was a penny. A pound has more value than a penny. I was saying that someone had used it to pay Wes thinking it was a penny (approximately same size and color since it tarnished a bit). What's the plant on that? Some Irish pound coins have those "dots" around the edge as well as thistle plants which is why it reminded me of it. Mine was a different design and had a harp.

The Irish pound is obsolete now, isn't it? They use the Euro now.
I've heard it said that the coin I used is covered with mandarin oranges. Bamboo is on part of that coin for sure.
Yeah the pound coins and notes went bye bye in 2002. On my birthday too! Humbug....
