Some of us were not watching the Blackhawks win the final game of the Stanley Cup Finals, but instead attended a minor league Baseball game. I have nothing against hockey; I'm just not a big sports fan in general. Still, it was a good time for the few of us who attended. Man, that hockey championship left us with a lot of empty seats!! (This first photo courtesy of Mrs. Craver.).
We were a lot closer than if we had gone to a major league game. I liked that. Our seats were behind home plate..
Baseball is a little slow for me, but it gets better when you try to understand what the players are thinking and trying to do. Dial 911; somebody's trying to steal a base!.
I gotta get me some lights like that!! All I need is a 1.21 gigawatt power source, and I can bring artificial sunlight to any picture..
The Cougars have a lot of things going on to keep their fans entertained. This dog brought water to the umpires. Some kids got a chance to pet it during the game, and before going home, we were allowed to run the bases. I didn't run, I just took really bad pictures of the runners. Note to self: next time, use the small lens when you're gonna be that close to the subjects.

I'd bet that the game you went to was every bit as exciting as watching hockey. And you had great seats. So where does one get a set of lights like that? ;-)
I am not a sports fan either and right now it seems like SA has gone crazy with the World Cup soccer starting here.
I'm going to a Jays vs Seattle game next week, and I bet your pix are way better than the ones I'm going to take.
Meanwhile the telly is full of World Cup Soccer.
Nice shots my friend, Im not a sports fan either, and its football crazy this month with the World Cup.
nice shot of the pitcher. the seating is a nice part of minor league parks. the one near our house really doesn't have a bad seat in the house and they are all affordable.
For non-sports people like us, the minor league game was probably more fun, yes. Gaelyn, I need to figure out how to make those lights usable with a semi truck and hydraulic extension pole. ;-)
Ah, the beautiful game. I learned a little bit about soccer while coaching children, Joan. Soccer fans have a reputation for being wild, though. I'd prefer to see that on TV.
Enjoy the game, Shammy. At least you will have a big crowd for that game, right?
Do you spell it that way, Imac? I thought Europeans spelled it "futbol." I can get away with calling it futbol, but a person can get in trouble around here calling a thing football that is not "American football."
If I had a location with no obstructions, I could have gotten a sweet shot of a player sliding into second base, Lime. The shot I came away with, had a vertical beam right in the middle of the action.
Craver: We have a minor league team in Akron and it is always more fun then the majors. That is true especially the way the Indians are playing. Your wife made a nice catch at the game, you and the kids.
