Friends, I like the light in this picture. We have a large primary light source: the open van door on an overcast day. And there is some secondary, fill-in light from the windows all around. It's like I had a traveling portrait studio!.
Bear is smaller than a cat, but so much bigger than when we got him. He eats his own food, but steals food from the cat's bowl, too. So far, he has done a fair job of training us.

Nice pup. Nice pic. Nice pic of the pup.
Maybe he just didn't have to go ya' know.
Bear is a BIG dog in a little body. Cute.
smaller than a cat?
what sort of cat?
Thank you thrice, Sandman!
Gaelyn, we think that little puppy body is about half bladder.
He's smaller than most ordinary house cats, Shammy. Certainly smaller that the cat we own now. I want to get a picture of the two of them when he's play-fighting.
he is certainy very cute and looks smart too!
What breed is he?
Ah, he looks like quite a character. :-)
Craver: What a big name for a little pup. He is really cute.
He's probably smarter than I am, but that's not saying much. The owners said he was half Dachshund and half something else Shammy, but we never found out what that other thing was.
Oh, that's for sure, Happyone. He brings a lot of joy to the Craver house.
Fishing Guy, my first choice for his name was "Sasquatch."
We had a cat that lay down to drink milk with the puppies. The mother dog let her. :)
Bear with us, what a super post my friend.

Thanks for the invite, I'll keep that food in mind my friend.
I think I know who the master is! Would you dare deny him anything? :))
Great to see you again, Eve! No milk for this one. He's strictly water and dry dog food. That's not only cheaper, but it makes for easier cleanup when he has an accident inside, too.
I like that post about friends, Imac. It's cool, how you embedded the thumbnail portraits inside the larger landscape photos. Yes, I'm sure you would enjoy our food here.
Oh no EG. Bear knows that I'm the master. He just pretends he doesn't hear sometimes. We're careful not to spoil him with food, but there is no shortage of affection on this little pup, that's for sure.
Bear is very cute. I'm glad to hear that he is doing a good job of training you.
Thanks, Craver. Good to be back. :)
And I thought you werent getting a puppy! Famous last words-
What a big one ;-) Excellent picture!
smaller than a cat...that really cracks me up.
Yeah George, that's how it goes, I guess. I'm pretty happy to have the little furball romping around, though.
Eve, it was nice to see someone being added, because Lent and other reasons are causing some to cut back. I myself find that I have been flooded with work, and my free time is being pulled in all sorts of directions.
No kidding, Mommanator. In the end, when I saw how my wife wanted him, I could not resist.
Ha ha... That's our big "Bear," Chris.
I'll have to get a picture of the pup attacking our cat, Lime. He's pretty bold.
Craver, I know all about that :) Our kids were on March Break at Grammy's house-it afforded me some free time:)
I plan on being around a wee bit more than the past few months.
Great shot!!!!
