.
Friday night, while walking back towards our campsite, a bonfire behind us cast a shadow of my grandson and me onto this little tent. I liked what I saw, so I stopped briefly to see if I could capture the image..
But, as I said, the little ones are from out-of-state. They are not used to Mrs. Craver and me, and sometimes the baby cries when we try to pick her up. (If you allow me a moment of transparency, that kind of rejection is heartbreaking for a grandma and grandpa.) There were a few occasions, when they got caught up in the moment, and seemed to be less traumatized by "Poppa and Nanna." I will treasure those times!.
I managed to scrounge up one more vacation day, so that I can spend one more full day with them before they have to return home.

Well done Campers.
Enjoy every possible minute with the grandkids. I predict that the young one will cry when she has to leave Poppa and Nanna. I like your silhouette capture.
Cool shadows on the tent. Beautiful girl.
My grandsons are very close and so I see them a lot. It would be a lot different if my daughter and her fam lived far away. Even though they are close I have been rejected, and so i know what you feel bro. I pray your relationship with your grandkids will grow more affectionate in our Lord's grace and favor.
Enjoy that time sir, that's for sure precious ;-) I love the shadow shot ;-)
Imac, day by day, they seem to grow more and more comfortable with us, but we're not all the way there yet.
George, your comment brought a spark of hope. I appreciate the encouragement.
Sandman, it is uncanny, how closely my granddaughter resembles her mother. Thanks for praying.
These few days are a treasure Chris. They will go back home soon, and I will miss them.
What a gorgeous granddaughter and what beautiful photo showing the shadows of Poppa and Grandson!! Moments like these are indescribable and are "forever" moments....those meant to be savored. It sounds as if you and Nana did exactly that.
The fact that you were able to spend quality time with your Grands is priceless, and I'm aglow thinking about the memories that will be there for you, Nana, and the Grands. I'm glad that you were able to get another vacation day to spend together. Precious times...absolutely.
Great photos!!! :)))
Smiles from Jackie
