This pic was taken outside of Bolingbrook's library. (My next post will have a connection with the Woodbridge library.) The cold is sometimes looked at as an inconvenience or discomfort, but I see it differently. When I have to be out in the cold for a while, it makes my hands feel like ice. Then, I go inside to an unsuspecting victim, and place my cold hands on a warm neck and my heart sings with joy when they practically jump out of their skin. ;-).
Notice that the sign designates special parking spaces for fuel efficient vehicles. I drove to the library that day with two other people in my minivan. Carpooling is fuel efficient, but I'm guessing that my vehicle itself doesn't qualify for those special parking spaces..
But oh, my own body is fuel efficient, too! That's right... I'm not husky; I'm fuel efficient. When I was younger, I was terribly in-efficient! Oh yeah. I could eat anything I wanted, and my metabolism burned it all up. Tsk, tsk, tsk. I was sixty pounds (27 kg) lighter when I got married. I should be proud of such efficiency, don't you think?

Nice pic Craver.
And nice read bro. Your a good brother in Christ, and I was hoping you could pray for me. Seems my memory has lapses, ans it's weird. I do have a doctor's appointment, and I have been dealing with this for a while. I wonder how much of this is Satan?
Thanks Bro! Your prayers are well appreciated.
Brrr...I'm cold just looking at that pic. Kind of like a scratch and sniff photo, but more of a glance and feel photo.Brrr..
What wicked thoughts you have for your cold hands Craver, but must admit it made me smile a lot.
I could see the twinkle in your eyes too.
I do remember you regularly in my prayers, Sandman. A.W. Tozer had a book called I Talk Back To The Devil.. While I do not personally carry on conversations with the Adversary, I do approve of a defiant posture that suggests to him, "Do your worst!" The only reason I can do that, is that our God's way is to take even the worst intentions and use them for his glory (Gen. 50:20). "If God is for us, who can be against us?" -Rom. 8:31
My, what a creative compliment Mr. Dave. Thank you, Sir!
Mwaaa ha ha haaaaa... You better believe it, Imac. I like to keep people on their toes. (Do you like how I added the metric translations for you?)
Craver - I think that if you pedaled a bicycle to the library and chained it to the post, it would qualify as fuel efficient. (I ducked as I typed that!)
And...I know 'zackly what you mean by that fuel-efficient person that you've become. I KNEW you were my brother. Yep. I'm fluffier than I was when I got married. I weighed 98 pounds (44.45 kg) on my wedding day. I will NOT post what I weigh now...but suffice it to say, I've fluffed up a bit. (But remember, I'll be 62 years old this year, and I need the fuel to keep me going during my Golden years.) (That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!! )
Happy Valentine's Day to you and Ms. Craver.
Yes, I think you should get credit for being so fuel efficient. The same thing happened to me after I got married. By the way, if your wife is anything like my wife, your cold hands trick could get you into the dog house.
I'm a bit more energy efficient these days myself.
Oh, and the cold-hands thing? That kind of behavior will earn you a place in a snow bank here in Minneapolis. :-)
Pearl
Oh Jackie, you cracked me up by saying, 'zackly. You ARE golden!
Revenge at the hands of my sweet angel, George?? Heh, heh... only when I deserve it. God bless your Betsy for keeping you in line. :-)
Sometimes a snow bank is totally worth it, Pearl. I just hope I can crawl back out of it.
We've not had enough snow to build a snowman either, but that really doesn't bother me!!
I saw my first sign of spring today. A flower. : )
you managed to capture a great shot!
love it!
cold hands on a warm neck? oh you are wicked!!!!
Hehehe! Most of us have become more fuel efficient with age. :)
Yeah, my husband like the old cold-hands-on-an-unsuspecting-victim trick. I can see you doing the happy dance.
Keep clicking away, Happyone. I like seeing those flowers, and I have been enjoying so many of your pics. I like what I've seen recently, more than usual. :-)
Thank you, Betty. I am glad I was able to catch the rich, dark blue of the evening sky.
Lime, when I come in from the frigid outdoors, rubbing my hands together and desperately trying to thaw, no one is safe.
The way I see it EG, is that I am a giver. I like to share. ;-)
Such a kind man my friend, now retired cant bother to do sums (maths)lol.
