give thanks
November 27, 2013
This week's challenge is give thanks, selected by Katney. Check out my pals for their interpretations on this theme: Fishing Guy, Katney, Imac, Lew, and Christine Anne.
The original image from this week's header was taken a month ago. I felt that an infrared filter, duo-tone and sharpened details would match what I feel better than the original image (below). The night I took the shot, I did not have my tripod, so I went ISO 1600, 50mm, 1/90s at f/4.5.

My own words are inadequate to properly express gratitude, but I offer them regardless, because somehow, the Lord is pleased to receive them. For our purposes here and now I will share some of my favorite thanksgiving verses from the Holy Scriptures:
You are my God, and I will give thanks to you;
you are my God; I will extol you.
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
for his steadfast love endures forever!
Psalm 118:28-29
All the kings of the earth shall give you thanks, O Lord,
for they have heard the words of your mouth,
and they shall sing of the ways of the Lord,
for great is the glory of the Lord.
For though the Lord is high, he regards the lowly,
but the haughty he knows from afar.
Psalm 138:4-6

This is a wonderful Thanksgiving post. I really like your header, but I like your words even more so.
I don't mind bumping up the ISO to get the shot. Nice one, too! Thanks for sharing.
