This bobble-head doll belonged to a friend. I had a surprisingly difficult time getting the flash to cooperate, but it eventually gave me what I wanted.

588-2300
A Chicago based icon is gone. Elmer Lynn Hauldren passed away this week, at the age of 89.
He was best known as the "Empire Carpet Guy." He was a kind, grandfatherly type. My wife tells a story about our oldest daughter, when she was two. (Almost three decades ago.) She would run to the TV when she heard the "Empire Man" talking, so she'd sit herself down in front of the TV and stare at him. Then, when the commercial was over, she'd walk away.
