collage barrage
Here's a neat little experiment. First, you go around, taking pictures of the unique trinkets people use to personalize their cubicles and work spaces. Next, you post a collage with numbered blanks underneath. My collages were done in sets of nine, so that the pictures could easily be seen. And then one-by-one, I'd post these in the break room. It was cool to see people guessing where or who's desk the items could be found. In all, I posted seven pages.

It's like a scavenger hunt of sorts! Back when the Disney Magazine was still in print (RIP *sob*), they'd have a photo of random thing in some random spot in one of the four parks. You could send in your answer random people would be drawn from the correct answers to win a prize (usually the Disney A-Z book, a sort of encyclopedia). The correct answer would appear in the next month's issue along with a new photo. We always had fun trying to guess what it was.
What I'd like to do is go to WDW and get both of us disposable cameras and separate and take random pictures and then come back together, get them developed at their film developing spots and just see what caught our attention, but then also try to guess where the picture was taken. I also want to do that with Rylan when he's old enough to work a camera somewhat...to see pictures of what is important to him at that age. I think that would be so cool.
hahaha, that's a fun idea!
what are those twisty wire things?
Now that's creativity! And fun. Yes, these digital cameras are actually fun, probably my own biggest toy. Nice pics, too.
That is so cool!
I thought about turning it into a contest with a prize, but alas! I am too lazy and cheap for such a thing. It's funny, how many people asked me what the prize would be. Hmph!
Well Shammy, those are... um--they're... Technically, those would be... Ahem, we just call them "twisty wire things."
Actually, they're used to tie big bundles of used cardboard, and I enjoyed the novelty of using an image that most of us couldn't quickly recognize.
Ah Cravester! I notice you discovered my return to the blogosphere over at Sandman. Yes, it's a New Year's resolution. Or, more like a vow to think enough about my Bible reading to actually put something down on paper, or in this case, into the net. Stop by anytime. YOU are always welcome you know! And do we ever miss Bolingbrook!
I'm thinking Mr. Incredible is thine's cubicles trinket Craver.
Hi there Craver. I wanted to sit down here this morning and do some catch up visiting. I miss that.
I love your collage idea. I can imagine the smiles as your co-workers found the fun in guessing and figuring things out. And it helped to bring more unity and comradary to the environment. Good job!
