c'mon spring!

Wait for iiiiit...

.

Oh boy! I am excited about the newness of it all! Soon the weather will catch up to the calendar, and our trees and gardens will know that it is really, really spring.

.

Soccer has already begun for me, and the lawn and house fixing chores will be assisting me in this new diet. That's a good thing because so far, I have not really increased my exercise yet.

.

But who cares about that... I want to go outside right now and do a scavenger hunt for signs of new life!!!

Grandpa,

The seasons out here in the San Joaquin Valley have me all messed up! Our daffodils were up in February and are already gone. The blossoms all long gone from the fruit trees. It hit 88 today. I'm terrified of summer!

Lime, that "hope" was all covered in snow and ice this morning. It's real pretty in December and January, but I've got soccer practice in this weather. It's c-c-cold when you're standing out in this stuff for an hour.

nAncY, I owe thanks to a coworker who spotted these buds and suggested they'd make a nice photo.

Shiloh Guy, my next-door neighbor's daffodils are blooming now. They were a pretty yellow Saturday, but Sunday evening, everything was under snow and ice again. Driving in to work Monday morning, I hit a patch of slushy ice, and slid just a little bit. Maybe it will help to remember that when it gets super hot near you. I can't take the heat without wearing a cap, so I guess I should just be thankful that it is not 88 here today.

By the way, I LOVE being called "Grandpa."

I'll keep an eye out for it, Mommanator.

Thank you so much, Denise!

Some kind of drama, eh Imac?

I only wanted to go on a scavenger hunt, ESI. This weekend's schedule did not allow it. I'm not complaining, though. There were plenty of great things going on. :-)
