It has been much too long since I've participated in Sky Watch Friday!.
Today's contribution is an effort to capture the splendor of clouds. I have a hard time catching the same detail in pics that I see with my own eyes. A pink filter in post-editing helps, I think. Do you have any tips for showing depth in thick, fluffy clouds?.

Nice shot.
If you use a SLR a polarizing filter ofter gives nice results. I play with shadows, highlights and midtone contrast in elements and that also can help.
Lovely shot! Wish I could offer some tips, but I'm so new at photography I'm mostly pointing and clicking, but have been blessed with some good results over the past few months.
Theses are lovely clouds though and you've captured them well!
Have a great weekend!

A marvelous example of clouds.
Sometimes when I hit the "auto adust" on photos my clouds come out more pink. But I don't usually care for it and undo. Just doesn't look like how I saw it. If only I could blink my digital photo images to download. Can you work on that?
Sorry, no tips, but nice shot!
You've captured the splendor of these skies beautifully!
I also love the shot of the moon in the previous post - wow!
I'm with Gaelyn - blink and download. :)
Thanks for coming by and seeing my little red boat zooming around the world.
I have a rainbow on my photoblog if you get a chance - one of God's little promises. :)
Carletta’s Captures.
Great sky!
Thank you for the help.
I was not affected but sad for others.
The sun is brighter today!
Happy weekend.
NIce shot and thanks for your comment on my blog :)
if you are using Photoshop, adding an s curve help's, you can also try adding a layer of gradient (black to transparent) and overlay it... this works for me, hope it helps
Beautiful clouds picture.
I'm not good in post-processing.
Greeting from Bulgaria!Thank you for visiting.Nice shot.
That's lovely!
It looks like a wonderful photo for skywatch as is.
Craver: I don't do much with my cloud shots, they seem to speak for theirselves. You capture some neat ones.
Very nice picture of clouds, so pretty. I don't really have tips to give you because I'm new at photography and still learning. I could use some tips myself, lol. I LOVE taking pictures of the sky. I always kick myself when the sky is looking so beautiful and I don't have my camera with me, usually at dusk.
Again, very nice picture!
YOu have wonderful photos, I am a follower now. I particularly liked the moonscape!
pretty shot!
i've got no tips but i think the composition here is terrific!
Whatever you have done is kind of nice. I'd call that a satisfying shot.
I took a pic of clouds by holding my sunglasses against the cemera lens, worked out pretty well! Not very scientific though.
Very pretty. I agree that a polarizing filter would bring in some of that depth that you're looking for.
Lovely shot. Looks like a nice storm brewing.
Lots of fluffy detail coming through here. I know what you mean about getting the camera to show what you see. Chrome3d's 'Cloudbusting' blog from Finland is the best I know for that.
Looks like you are in the pink my friend, with this great shot for SW.
Pics all sorted, Now to start Posting.lol.
Your puffy clouds are like cotton balls - they even look as soft! I also think the moon shot with the golden boughs in the foreground in your last post is a fabulous shot.
These clouds know how to form a pattern! Pretty disciplined :-)
