your attention please

What in the world is going on up there? It looks like a wake in the sky or ripples in the stratosphere from a cosmic concussion.

.

Hmmm... could these clouds be mimicking a farmer's plowed field?

.

This was one of those times, when there as absolutely no talent or special equipment required. I mean, who needs a trained eye to see that this sunset commands us to take notice. The sky was awesome, and everybody down here was looking up, soaking in the gorgeous sight. I would not be surprised if it contributed to a fender bender or two.

It was just a trick! The big guy does this as a distraction to make you miss that 2lb gold nugget you just stepped over.

Or maybe it's just me... lol

Nice shot!

You have my full and undivided attention Craver, now if you don't mind, I would rather look at the photograph.

WOW!! How unusual. I guess if insects can mimic other things, so can the clouds. A stunning shot and I am pleased you were not in a fender bender even though you may have caused some. :)

What an amazing cloud striation, not surprised it caused a sensation. Sure glad you didn't bump into anybody. Nice sighting Craver.

This truly is a magical sky...yes, created by a farmer driving his tractor upside down. (Only YOU would think of that!)

Good thing Craig, 'cause I probably wouldn't know what to do with it if I found such a thing.

Mommanator, that reminds me of Rich Mullins singing, "Everywhere I go I see You." You have excellent vision, Friend.

Arresting cloudscape, isn't it? Actually Joan, I had pulled over into an empty school parking lot, and snapped away with my Mavica while my 19-year-old son took his own pics (using his cell phone).

Now that you mention it Gaelyn, S1 and I might have bumped into each other, as we framed the image in our respective viewfinders, but that was on foot, in an empty lot.

I know, Imac. Craig is always funniest when he forgets to take his medication. Unfortunately, that means a time-out in a padded cell, but it's totally worth it.

Washboard, like my abs nAncY? Wishful thinking! My abs are more like a washTUB!

I guess so, EG. Perhaps I have forgotten to take my meds today, too.

Craver: That is a neat capture of the sky. Layered sky, a new one to me.

A rather nice example of altocumulus.

Wow, how beautiful! It reminds me of ripples in the sand from the water. Great shot :)
