one sunset - three pics

The drive home is exciting this time of year. The sunsets are yielding spectacular colors. The hard part is trying to catch them in time, and with no utility poles, streetlamps or power lines. These were taken within a half hour, and both were from parking lots. The last shot was taken at Ty Warner Park, which is the home of Beanie Babies. Next week, we push the clocks forward one hour, in effect rewinding the days, to get more of these sunsets during rush hour. Longer daytime, more sunsets... I can deal with that. The first photo looks like there's fire in the tree, don't you think?

at first I thought there was a fire in the tree! What amazing pics my friend. Tells me God is so GOOD!

No sunsets expected here for a couple of days, just grey skies and rain. Nice catch of those vibrant colours.

Cool photos. I wish I could reach out and grab that sunset.

Perhaps in the next age we will.

so pretty. that last one intrigues me the way the color seems suspended.

What a glorious signature!
Beautiful shots!

The sunsets here have been great also. I agree that they don't last long and you have to whip your camera out to catch the best light! You did good...and three times, too!

Its nicer if you are semi retired, to go out with the cameras looking for shots and just strolling.

Great skies with your new toy.

I love that comment, Mommanator. The Lord is good indeed.

I wanted to go outside for pics all weekend, Shammy. It was rainy here, too. I sat watching robins on the lawn, and wish I could have had the camera focused on one that I saw pulling at a worm. That would have made my day!

I sometimes wonder what that will be like Sandman. "I can only imagine."

Yeah, that was pretty strange, Lime. It seemed out of place.

We do well to give thanks for every day, Carletta.

Thanks EG. I was glad to be out there at that time, and I always look forward to seeing the beauty you have captured up at East Gwillimbury.

Well Fishing Guy, soon I'll be walking around with a camera bag AND the tackle box. I can hardly wait.

The time change should make it easier to get some of those sunrises too, Mr. Dave.

Semi retired. That sounds good Imac. It seems far away to me now.

These are beautiful pictures! Well done... For some reasons I love the last one better but I cannot tell why!

So beautiful, I never get tired of taking pictures of the sky. You're right, the first picture does look like there's fire in the tree! I love how the clouds look, gorgeous, awesome photos Craver!

They are all spectacular but I think the second one has that little bit of extra in it.
