"For everything there is a season,
a time for every activity under heaven.
A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest.
A time to kill and a time to heal.
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
A time to cry and a time to laugh.
A time to grieve and a time to dance.
A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a time to turn away.
A time to search and a time to quit searching.
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
A time to tear and a time to mend.
A time to be quiet and a time to speak.
A time to love and a time to hate.
A time for war and a time for peace.
What do people really get for all their hard work?  I have seen the burden God has placed on us all.  Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end."
Ecclesiastes 3:1-11

I have been feeling better lately, but my tulips suffered heavy rains and cold nights.  The flowers are all gone now.  It seemed appropriately representative of the difficulties in the lives of a few friends. I sure am glad that I can go to the Heavenly Father with our concerns.

.
"You Yourself have recorded my wanderings.
Put my tears in Your bottle.
Are they not in Your records?"
Psalm 56:8

God is a sovereign Father to needy children. And everything that happens is His sovereign will, not just the good stuff that happens. The trials are from a loving perfect holy Lord and Savior and Abba Father.

thanks Craver.

I am so glad that you included the Psalm Scripture. I didn't recollect that particular Scripture, and it is absolutely beautiful and oh so true, my friend.
I love the water droplets on your tulip and the color effect you have on it. Just perfect for your blogpost.
I hope that you feel the hugs and prayers of friends, Craver. I will send more up, I promise. Take care of you...please.

Sandman, I am encouraged by your robust theology. I'm still praying for you regarding the loss of your friend.

I'm glad you agree that the picture fits the words, Jackie. I certainly do appreciate the kind sentiments and prayers!

Whew! Those poor tulips were gone too fast, CameraGirl! I thought I was going to get more pictures of them. It teaches me to appreciate what I have while it's here.

Funny you should post the words to that song as I just got a Chris de Burgh CD from the library and that song is on it.
I'm back from my travels across the Pond, had a wonderful holiday meeting up with old friends and lots of family members who I had not seen for a very long time. I am so lucky. I am so grateful.

Nice to see you, Imac. You're so right. Our experiences are more special because of the contrasts.

I am glad that there is comfort in God's Word for you, Lime. Still praying for you.

I'm looking forward to the photos and stories you have to share with us Shammy. Welcome back!
