Christmas is coming!

Christmas is coming

December 3, 2014

This week's challenge selection is Christmas is coming by Lew.  Check out my pals for their interpretations on this theme: Fishing Guy, Katney, Imac, Lew, and Christine Anne.

Lots to see with this theme! Some were taken over the weekend on a trip to Oklahoma to visit my daughter's family. It was unseasonably warm outside with gusty winds. Then we drove 12 hours back up to frigid temps. In a very little time we saw a very big difference!! The header is a picture of a little Christmas tree made out of tiny presents. It's in front of a big Christmas tree, and I focused so the big tree's lights came out blurry.

Christmas candies!

I like the textures and sharp tiny details in this pic.

Giant ornaments in Oklahoma City's downtown area.

From left to right... my family. ;-)

This elf was the size of a person. Use the picture book behind as a reference.

Tchaikovsky's mouse king.

Santa's elves were among us!

Miniature Christmas train.

Hop aboard the Polar Express!

The ornament is big. My son-in-law's reflection is little.

Tiny Christmas village.

Santa's little lady and my two grandies.

Gazing straight up at the center of the atrium.

Note the size of the person at the bottom left for comparison.

It may have been warm in Oklahoma, but you did a great job of capturing the Christmas spirit in these photos. Very well done!

I'm in love with each of these photos, Craver. I especially love the one of the colorful candy with the blurred Christmas lights in the background.

Going for the bokeh in the header there, I see! Lovely job, brother, just lovely. I've hardly experimented with bokeh at Christmastime; maybe this year now that we have a tree. And wow--those giant pine cones.

It looks wonderfully festive. What a wonderful Christmas you'll have with two young'uns to buy for!
