There was an adorable chipmunk stretched upward in a lookout position from this tire. When I saw that it was not moving, I became convinced that taking the camera out of the zipped and clasped bag, switching filters from macro +4 to UV & polarized, and laying on the ground for a good angle (still with me?) would not be an exercise in futility. I was wrong. Almost.

It moved, and did not return. Blast! Hence this post is about the ones that got away. You know, those frames that you ALMOST had of a cute shot of a toddler, maybe an animal doing something funny, or Elvis having coffee with Jim Morrison? Whether it would have been realistic or sublime, I dedicate this post to you. Go ahead and post your almost pics. I'll understand..
Speaking of "almost," what if we had B-rated superheroes because their powers were not quite prime time? I've seen this idea before, and can't help but wonder what kind of powers would set somebody in that almost heroes classification..
- * Being able to find anything that has been misplaced.
- * Always guessing correctly when given only two options.
- * Not extra fast or strong, but never tired.
- * Able to hold one's breath indefinitely.
