goal

Our team played their first soccer match this weekend. It was a great time. They ran hard, followed instructions well, played fair, and smiled the whole game. All of those are higher goals for us than scoring against or beating the other team.

.

(Today's note is a bit rushed... Sorry for that.)

.

This photo is from last week's practice. I hope to collect some nice pictures for the whole team as a keepsake at the end of the season. (The boy with the green hooded pullover is my son.) This effect was done through Photobucket's editing program.

I'm not sure what this is all about but it's interesting and I wonder how it's done. There is a person in Fla (you have probably seen his blog) who does a lot of photos like this.

Oops! I scheduled this one day too soon, and did not put the text up yet. I usually try to sit at the keyboard on Saturday if I want something to go up on Monday, but we got busy, and I put the wrong number in Draft Blogger. Sorry. I'll add something later.

Looks like a painting or drawing, good show.

Back from Ireland and sorting photos, but the jars are now revealed.

I like that effect. Maybe I could use it sometime!

Thought of you on Saturday night at the Calvin Festival; Ed Gilbreath and I went for a walk and the moon came up full and lemon yellow. I tried to take a picture of it. Sigh. I told Ed that I'll never be able to compete with you, the man of the lovely moon shots.

Thanks AMM, they have a bunch of other cool stuff like night-vision too.

I am not sure who you are referring to, Dot. I'd like to see their blog, if you remember their name.

Yeah Sharon, I guess it's pretty new.

I'm looking forward to seeing your pics, Imac.

LL, I'll tell you something about Ed that you may not know. The man has an incredible singing voice! He guest-led worship at my church, and there was a richness and power in his tone that matched the message perfectly.

What a neat effect you added to the photo. I thought when I first saw it that you had downloaded a sketch --thinking you already had enough talents without being an artist too. That's me jumping to conclusions! :-)

Since you are one of my thoughtful commentators, I wanted to drop by and invite you to comment on any post this week for a chance to win in my giveaway. I don't think YOU would necessarily want them, but Mrs. Craver might...

"They ran hard, followed instructions well, played fair, and smiled the whole game."

Is this really possible?

With man it's impossible, but all things are possible with God.

I suppose I could smile the whole game if I were winning, but when I'm behind, and losing, I'm a little more on the not smiling side. Not that I'm unhappy, I'm just not as happy.

You're a talented guy Craver. I like that photo. Cool beans.

Paleeeease, people... you give me more credit than I deserve. Remember that you only see what I choose to post. My photo album has many discards, and people who have negative testimonials mysteriously disappear from the face of the earth. Thank you for your very kind comments. That stuff makes my day. :-)
