Gordon Lewis wrote a hilarious post about photographers and their cameras, so I brought you the link (above). Check it out..
According to him, I'm cheap. According to me, he's right..
The photo above was taken in August by my wife as she watched me sneak up on some house sparrows. If you're curious, here is the shot from where I was stalking..
Gordon says he's not taking any more comments about the post I linked, but he was kind enough to give permission to point others to it. Enjoy.

I don't know if this is true, but I laught a lot... So I'll probably switch to Nikon soon...
I'm a Nikon Coolpix person.... but many years ago I used my mother's pre-war Zeiss-Ikon, wonder where it is now.
And thanks for the Birthday wishes, Craver, you are a sweetheart!
I own a Sony, and it's been good to me. I bought it at Target for 65% off the display camera a couple years ago.
My latest is a Fuji, who knows what's next.
Thanks for the link and the chuckles it brought. I don't know what the future might bring, but I still like my Canon.
You have a healthy sense of humor, Chris.
I had considered adding a compact point and shoot Shammy, but when I need one, I just borrow my wife's Fujifilm. There is a clear advantage over always lugging around the big o'l camera bag with lenses and accessories.
Sandman, you're talking about a compact p&s, right? I have looked at the Sony Alpha ads in the photography magazines, and they seem good enough, but I rarely find anyone using them.
Another Fuji! Gaelyn, we have one of those at home.
George, the numbers seem to stack up pretty even between Canon and Nikon, but I know a lot more people who have a Canon. Off hand, Imac is the only one I know who carries Nikons.
I remember the sparrow photo, I thought it was lovely. Real nice photo your wife took of you also. I have a Canon and an Exhilim, but I have recently started taking photos with my new cell phone. Have a great weekend Craver and thanks for the link, I will go check it out now.
Love this photo your wife took! I'm going to check out that article. I'm Canon all the way. :)
Nikon thru and thru me.
And you will change to Nikon too, lol.
Denise, I laughed quietly, when after sneaking around to that side of the pool, Mrs. Craver stepped outside to take a picture of me. I guess I wasn't so stealthy after all.
Not sure why, but I see a lot more Canons than Nikons, EG. I would like to do some side-by-side comparison.
And speaking of Nikons, hello Imac! When I was a teenager, my father bought a Nikon SLR. I used that camera more than he did, and I loved it!
oh this is hilarious, especially as i am in the process of buying a camera! i used to have an olympus and that description in particular made me laugh. i also used to have a minolta....sure wish he had included them ;)
