Well, it was a terribly busy Saturday. The morning was jam-packed with food pantry obligations, and the evening was to be even more intense on account of some heavy-duty studying. But I had to break away from it all for at least a little while to see this photographer and her work. I knew that I would regret it if I didn't go, so I skipped lunch and made the short drive to the Woodbridge Library.
.
I'm glad I went! Her photographs are outstanding. Her name is Gene Mark and she does fine art digital photography. Click on her name to see her web site. I liked the work she did. There were a couple of closeups of cardinals, and I explained to her that she captured there, what I have been trying and trying, but have not yet accomplished. She told me a large print of one egret, and told me how she got that shot. It was cool to see the excitement in her eyes. It is that spark of excitement that drives me to take a better picture, but a lot of people mistake it for a crazy obsession. What I shared there in that conversation was that she gets it. I'll admit that I was a bit awestruck, and I couldn't think of any good questions to ask her at that time.
.
The prices? I thought they were going to be astronomical, but they weren't, really. And I learned some things from her presentation that will help me present my photography in a more professional manner. I have a long way to go before I can start arranging my own photography shows and selling prints, but I think it's do-able.
.
Update: The link should be fixed now. Please keep me in your prayers. I have had an interesting few days. Can't get on the computer as much as I'd like. See you soon.

Craver...so glad that you were able to go to the exhibit and that you picked up some presentation tips.
I clicked on the link in your blog to see her photography, but I got and "error" message. I will try again later.

I'm terribly uncomfortable, Mr. Dave. Nonstop headaches and can't sleep. But I'm feeling much better than I did earlier this week.
Get well soon, Craver!
I pary even now Craver my dear brother that our sovereign merciful Lord would pour out his blessings upon us so we can live a full life for His sake. Amen.
"If God gives a blessing, He usually gives it in such a measure that there is not room enough to receive it. Plenteous grace! Ah! we want plenteous grace to keep us humble, to make us prayerful, to make us holy; plenteous grace to make us zealous, to preserve us through this life, and at last to land us in heaven. We cannot do without saturating showers of grace."-CH Spurgeon
Yes wonderful -
this Lady sure is great.
Thanks for the link, these are beautiful pictures.
Sorry to hear you've been poorly, I have a sore throat and a headache today.... and I'm going downhill fast! Glad you're better.
Thank you, Rachel Grace. I covet your prayers.
Spurgeon led an amazing life. The Brits of his day were blessed. He was a heckuva lot better than our Finney! Thanks for praying, Sandman.
She sure is, Imac. She was a gracious hostess as well. I hope to try some of her exhibit & selling techniques.
Headaches are no fun at all, Shammy. And a sore throat as well? So sorry, Friend (hug). I'll offer up a prayer for you right now.
