scratch-n-sniff

A lot of cold snow has recently been dumped on portions of this (ahem) warm globe. This little splash of color is especially for those who are in snowladen regions.

.

If you are not in an area that is currently snowy, you are welcome to enjoy the view, but you will not have access to today's embedded special feature, which is a potpourri fragrance.

.

Now, are you one who has suffered an overload of snow? Simply scratch or rub the image of flowers on your computer monitor to release the smell of these flowers. Be careful not to damage your property there. Can't smell it? Gee, I'm sorry; you seem to be catching a cold.

could you imagine if that were possible?? To be able to smell your facebook friends through your computer?? uh...no!
it would give new meaning to the phrase: I nose somebody!

So why can't I smell it too?? Just because it is summer here and you are jealous does not mean you can exclude me....there I rubbed it and smelled it too so it is too late for you to object!! LOL!!

Great shots Craver, Love the different perspective.

Nice flowers. Come on Spring!

I heard of people who have a deep memory of something in the past, and they claim to have smelled a particular odor from that memory. Have you ever heard of that?

Tough break, Imac. You'll just have to use your imagination. (grin)

You know what they say Mr. Dave. It's not what you nose; it's who you nose.

Gaelyn: Exactly. ;-)

I would most certainly enjoy the weather you've been having, but I'm not jealous at all, Joan. I simply wanted to provide a special treat for those who got walloped by so much snow, that yesterday's additional 20 inches was referred to as a mere dusting. (lol) Can you imagine that?

Have a look: Denise
and Sandman

Speaking of which... 'Tsup, Sandman!! I do not recall that as a personal experience, however there have been LOTS of times when a smell triggered a memory. A complete stranger walks by, and I catch the combination of coffee, cigarettes and perfume... Voila! My mind immediately goes back to my fourth grade teacher!

There's not too much snow here, you guys are getting it all before it can get here. :-)

But it is cold. Brrr.

I scratched and I scratched
but no smell appeared.
No, I have no cold
is it just as I feared.

You fooled us my friend
with all of your wit.
I certainly hold hope that
others really may have got it.

There was enough snow here (near Chicago) to cause slower commutes, but this is nothing like the mid-Atlantic region. Stay warm, EG.

A rhyming comment. That's a special treat Fishing Guy. No scent on your side though, eh? I better check to make sure I'm paid up on my smell-O-vision subscription.

Hehe, thanks Craver, beautiful photos :) We haven't been getting that much snow this year, very surprising! I think the biggest storm dumped roughly 20 cms. Last year most storms (at least once a week, sometimes 2) would drop 25-30 cms, and one of them dropped just over 60! It was a crazy winter. My life consisted of shoveling and taking the snow off the car LOL.
I'm actually enjoying winter this year, just the right amount of snow and mild weather :)
Hope you're doing well Craver!
