While I had a few days off, I was able to take the time so slowly meander through my own backyard. It was nice to be able to do that, and not have a pressing need to rush off and do this or that.

At first glance, there was nothing going on back there, but after lingering long enough, I adjusted to a near stillness and could see that activity abounded..
This grasshopper is camouflaged so well that I would have normally missed it. I probably would have stayed out there longer, but it was so HOT outside that I could hear my brain sizzling!

Just proves a point my friend, slow is better than rush, you will find this when a little older, when you can slow down.

Sometime we need to slow down in order to see things. Live can be and sometimes is such a rush. A great find Craver.

There is a time and a season for everything under the sun, Imac. I definitely enjoy pulling back from rushing so that I can "smell the roses," ...or in this case, look for bugs.

I agree with you about the heat. It's been really hot here too, especially last week, but we avoided the worst of it as we were away on vacation by the ocean. Wonderful! I hate it when my brain sizzles.
