in the blink of an eye

Multiple shots in an extended photo session is par for the course when doing a professional shoot. That's what the internet videos show, anyway. But it took forever to get this simple, group shot. Why? Because we kept laughing, and couldn't get our act together.

.

We had been playing a favorite card game (Phase 10) at Family Camp. I, being the only male at the table was given special attention when someone had a skip card to lay down. I always seem to be skipped more than anyone else. These longtime friends seldom get together these days, and wanted a group shot. We discovered that one of them closes her eyes every time a flash goes off. It was dark enough, that a flash was absolutely necessary. So we tried, and tried, and tried again. One pose even had her hands up to her face, forcing her eyes open.

.

Then the grown son of another lady stood behind the screen to photobomb our group shot.

.

Mrs. Craver and I were not camping, but only up there for a day visit. I wish we could have stayed longer. (By the way, that's my gal in the black tee shirt.)

It never is easy to get a good group shot. At least you had fun getting this one.

Right. Lots of variables, George. But this time, the recording of a memory was memorable in itself. :-)

And me too, Mrs. Craver. I'm glad we drove up to Wisconsin Saturday.

Gaelyn, we laughed so much during the group portrait, that my cheeks hurt.

Friends through thick and thin, Mommanator. These are the kinds of people you want at your side during life's highest highs as well as the lowest lows.

Mrs. Craver is an amazing and wonderful person, Wendy. I am richly blessed.

Oh, they're all so funny, Lime. I had a hard time choosing one over another.

Fishing Guy, I think (little by little), she is becoming more and more comfortable in front of my camera.

My apologies if our laughing kept anyone up late, Shammy. :-) Besides me, only one other husband was there with this group. They're a bunch of cool guys, too. I always like our get-togethers.

Imac, you would have had a fantastic time here. If I could, I'd fly you and your Mrs. for a visit.
