think n-ice thoughts

"Glimpses of heaven in twenty-eleven." I left that comment at a new friend's blog and it got me thinking.

.

There is something about this row of icicles... it is merely a transparent substance in the dark, but it catches the light and a careful observation will reveal some wonderful blue and even orange colors. I took the picture, because I noticed something beautiful in what I saw. Let me encourage you this year to keep an eye out for the things that are good.

.

"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."
Philippians 4:8

Being mostly a landscape photographer I have to constantly remind myself to look at the little things. I always forget to take pictures of people.

Ice is wonderful to photograph, you get all different colours depends on the time or if sunny or not.

Beautiful photo....and I love your "glimpses of heaven in twenty-eleven" quotation. Perfect!
The light reveals beauty...and only with light can we see colors.
Philippians 4:8 is a wonderful reminder to think about the things that are just, pure, lovely and commendable. I think of my Savior when I think on these...and your photos and timely quotations are exactly what I needed to see and read today. Thank you.

Woe is me. I am staying with the EyeEye. I knew that I wouldn't pass that point. I wonder what the correct answers were. We'll know soon enough, eh?

Those landscape pictures you've taken are phenomenal, Gaelyn! I agree that taking people pics is a different challenge altogether.

Glittering jewels. That's a nice description, Lime.

It was night time, Imac. The main light source was from the front of my house, and it had a bluish color. The orange came from the street light.

Lots of good stuff in the Scriptures, Jackie. I' glad you were encouraged. "...walk in the light..." from 1 Jn. 1:7

I was afraid that I wouldn't get those answers, but eventually guessed 2 out of 3.

This is a beautiful photo -- I really like the colors you've captured in it. I also like your thoughts and the verse you've shared with us.

Nicely done! Ice is also a wonderful subject for photo editing, especially messing with the color.
