Cantigny

My work car needed new rear tires. I considered switching to this car.

.

It comes with an intimidating security system.

.

I can use that new car to tow my boat.

.

Here is what we use for family transportation. The kids love it.

.

"Dad, this is so cool, it'll blow your mind."

.

The kids can fully recline to sleep on long trips.

.

These pics were from a recent visit to Cantigny (pronounced kan-tee-nee). We toured the First Division Museum and hung around the tank exhibits for a while. Unfortunately, our batteries died before going to the gardens. I only took the first two pictures. The rest were taken by Mrs. Craver.

(re: spare batteries) I know, I know. I have spare batteries for my own camera in the bag, but we had other things to carry, so I decided (last minute) to use a compact camera. I inserted fresh batteries in my 12 yr-old's compact digital before walking out the door, but Imac I didn't realize the camera would be on for hours.

Coulda, woulda, shoulda.

She does that a lot, EG. She's so good to me!

Ain't that the truth, Imac!

Lime, I call days like this "memory builders." We were with two other families, and all those kids are going to remember some of the museum exhibits and climbing on those tanks for a long time. It was a day well spent.

Shammy: ;-)

Not really, Fishing Guy. Everyone else around here is driving all manner of armored vehicles. (yawn)

Oh, it sure was a fun day, Betty! The parents had just as much fun as their children.

Not for Father's Day, but Shammy that's more likely to happen when my birthday falls on a Saturday. This Sunday, we were in church by 7AM, because my wife and I were both on the worship team. She sings, and I run sound. They treated me to a great lunch, though.
